Going to the dentist is never fun, and even less so when you don’t speak the language well enough to say “I think I may have receding gums and may need some kind of tissue unification treatment,” am I right?
Dentists in the Sacred Valley vary widely in practice, skill and philosophy. Some have dingy offices but offer a good service; others have shiny, sparkling offices but will fill your mouth with old amalgam fillings and fluoride. And even worse: I’ve heard some horror stories where people have had the wrong tooth pulled, or have been told they have tons of cavities that need filling – when they don’t!
